Carl Larsson's watercolour painting Lisbeth metar (1898) var en av 26 målningar i boken A home. Målningen, som visar dottern Lisbeth meta på stranden till Lilla Hyttnäs, var inte med i första utgåvan från 1899 utan lades till i senare utgåvor.

Med A home ville Carl Larsson visa hur man kan inreda sitt hem väl. Boken inleds med en text där Larsson beskriver sitt familjeliv i stugan Lilla Hyttnäs i byn Sundborn utanför Falun. Sedan följer 26 akvarellmålningar med scener från huset och familjen Larssons liv.
