Now the print file for the Allmogens almanac 2018 is off to the printer, and it is with mixed delight/anxiety that I await the physical result.
The cover is adorned with the farm worker family Gotthard Fredrik Fredriksson and Edla Fredriksson with their children on a country road in Danderyd, Uppland, 1920, and the Fredriksson family symbolizes well the history that I want to highlight through this project; the history of small people, the aspirations of small people, the struggle of small people for justice - and freedom.
The forgotten ones. The nameless. The poor. The driven. The displaced. The oppressed. The disinherited. The landless. They are no longer forgotten, and their memory must be preserved.
Almost half of the almanacs are already sold (yay!), and I know that many people will get a nice Christmas present this year. Anyone who wants to be sure to buy a copy shouldn't wait too long. You can secure your copy here, and your order will be shipped in early December, provided that war or eternal winter does not break out before then.
P.s. You who are a honorary supporting member to this project have received an email with a discount code for free shipping.
